MEET JANET GLASSFORD
Storyteller for Forbidden Vancouver Walking Tours
I’m Janet Glassford, a longtime actor and vocalist and your Storyteller on the Lost Souls of Gastown Tour.
My love of acting and singing started as a child. I fell in love with historical interpretation working as a guide in Barkerville, BC, the heritage town nestled in the province’s Cariboo region. I’ve worked touring theatre for young audiences and productions for Theatre Under The Stars, Arts Club, Classic Chic, Vancouver and Edmonton Fringe Festivals. In recent years I’ve appeared in feature films, television shows, and commercials
Offstage, I keep busy in my garden, go to arts events, am learning to sew and I make a mean martini!
I enjoy all aspects of touring…the surprises, the familiar faces of the neighbourhood, and especially those magic moments, the connections to the past that can feel so present. Thank you for joining me tonight, I hope you had a wonderful experience!
