Meet The Team: Billy Marchenski

Billy Marchenski has been a professional theatre maker, actor, and contemporary dancer in Vancouver for the last 25 years. A graduate of the School for the Contemporary Arts at Simon Fraser University, his career also includes five years with Kokoro Dance and three seasons with Bard on the Beach.

He’s a past winner of the Sydney J. Rysk prize for his original play, slowpoke, about his visit to the Chernobyl Exclusion zone in 2011. He’s also a dad. Billy’s interest in the Lost Souls of Gastown comes from his desire to acknowledge and remember the stories that have shaped, and continue to influence the place we call home.
