Meet The Team: Marina Hanly

I’m Marina Hanly (she/her), and I’ve always been drawn to dark history and ghost stories. Signing up to lead the Lost Souls of Gastown Tour in 2022 was a no-brainer! And since 2024 I’ve expanded my role at Forbidden Vancouver – I’m our Operations Team Manager, and today I lead the Sinners and Sweets tour, the Forbidden Vancouver Tour, and the Holiday History and Hot Chocolate Tour. You might catch me back on the Lost Souls of Gastown Tour in early 2026 🙂

I got my BFA in acting in 2020, participated in a cohort with Playwright’s Theatre Centre for Early Career Development in 2021, and completed an apprenticeship as an actor and playwright at Pacific Theatre in 2023. I’m constantly working on new creative projects! My weekly tours with Forbidden Vancouver are just the fix I need for live performance.

I am a proud member of the Métis Nation of British Columbia. Plus, I’m in a post-punk band called Rougaroux, and we just released our first full-length album in April 2025. You can find us on Spotify, Apple Music, or wherever you get your music.
